Dear friends, I just want to give you an update on the education situation in Myanmar. The last week of March 2022 it has been 2 years since the universities have been closed. In March 2020 the ongoing exams at that time were abruptly stopped because of Covid 19. In January this year some Universities opened and invited Students to come and re-sit their exam from 2020.
One of our young man went to Saigaing to attend and sat for his 3. year exam. Now all Universities will open for all courses and years on the 12/05/2022 and it depends on the individual Students to attend or not. Our young man will attend his final year of business/accounting studies. His friend will attend his 2. year of business/accounting studies. We have enrolled three girls from MTCY who passed their matriculation in 2020. As mentioned above it depends on the individual students but the longer they stay away from continuing their studies the more difficult it will become. The Country is quite divided, for example, at the end of March we had the grade 11 final exam (matriculation) in Rhakine state the attendance was almost 100% with the remaining Country had an average of 30%.
From MTYC nine boys and four girls attended and hopefully two boys and four girls have passed their exam. We are happy, that two boys will join Shwe Sa Bwe and five boys will join Mingalar Sky airport service. Hoping the above gives you a better understanding of the present situation. Best regards, Jerzy
