Last day I visited the school for checking. Because I’m next month they have final examinations for the academic year and will close 3 months holidays. Everything is good, last 5 months ago we arranged the repair the wall and paint work. Now very look nice and all the students are studying properly. Now principal also change not the Male principal who you met on opening ceremony. Actually they still need 2 more classrooms, but I explained to them the current situation and we can not help for the moment. They understood and say best regards to all of you. /Naing

School repairing work is done. They are very happy of new wall and Paint. They really appreciate it. Now the school is look good and everything perfect. /Naing

Last day the construction work already start repairing the wall. After finish the repair we should wait for the paint work. Nowadays still heavy rain in Myanmar. End of October they will paint the wall. /Naing

Last 2 days ago I visited the school. But that day school was close. I am not met with new principal. The former principal goes to retirement. So I gave my number to the man and he will pass my contact number to new Principal. All the students are attending and they already got school compound proper fence. Also they change the window door, former time with fiber glass type and now they changed to the wooden door. So I check with one man who he staying in this village and he show me the wall of school back side and right side some issues. Some bricks are broken and not look nice. We should repair for it, otherwise it will more getting bigger and bigger and we have to think about for safety. I spoke the villager for repair it, we will support for the material and they should organize for the worker. /Naing

While the COVID time every peoples have to careful. School also close but condition are very fine. Only some peoples are going out for their income. Seed school are in Yangon Division but little far way with city. In this village everything is fine, their harvest also doing normally. Luckily some of villagers are no need to go too far for their income. They are going to work at their own farm. So they have less chance to get effect of Virus. /Naing

Ende November war es dann soweit: die SEEDS Schule wurde eröffnet. Lucia und Felix waren dabei, Freunde und Mitarbeiter aus dem Restaurant. Es gab eine kleine Feier und viele zufriedene Gesichter. Ein großes Dankeschön an alle Gäste, die gut gegessen und gespendet haben. Hilfe kann so einfach sein. /jg

Kurz vor der Fertigstellung
Das neue Schulgebäude ist fast fertig. Noch sind die Handwerker an letzten Fertigstellungsarbeiten. Noch dieses Jahr soll die Schule eröffnet werden. Während beim neuen Gebäude heftig gearbeitet wird, wird im alten Schulgebäude fleißig gelernt. Mehrere Klassen in einem Raum versuchen das burmesische Alphabet umzusetzen und englische Wörter zu verstehen.
Im neuen Gebäude wird der Kindergarten und die erste Klasse untergebracht. Im bestehend Gebäude werden in Zukunft 2. - 4. Klasse unterrichtet.
Hier die dritte und vierte Klasse am Lernen. Draußen gibt es Hauswirtschaftskunde, wie wasche ich sauber ab.
Warum hier wohl kein Knabe mithilft? Die Crew des SEEDS-Restaurant, eines der besten Restaurant in Yangon inspizierte die Schule und ließ sich davon überzeugen, dass das gespendete Geld der Gäste hier gut angelegt ist und den Kindern mit einer guten Schulbildung eine Zukunft in der Welt ermöglichen wird.

Das SEEDS Projekt besteht aus zwei Bauteilen. Da ist zum einen das bestehende Gebäude, das wird renoviert, bekommt neue Fenster mit Jalousie Verglasung und eine Aufteilung in drei Räume - und das ist der Neubau: eine Erweiterung um zwei Zimmer, hier auf dem Foto zu sehen. Nach der Fertigstellung stehen den Kindern 5 Räume zur Verfügung, einer für den Kindergarten und 4 Klassenzimmer für Grade one to four. Platz genug für eine Primary School für 80 Kinder. /Jürgen

Happy to inform you, that we start with the groudbreaking for the new building.

We will drive one hour from Yangon - towards Bago - there you will find Sin Ku Village, there is our "SEEDS school" project. In the village, there are 130 families. The school has a kindergarden and grade 1 to 4. There are four teachers for 100 children. We will renovate the old schoolbuilding and bring it in a nice good shape. The estimated costs for the project are 9.000 Dollar. We will start with our work in the summer holidays, after the waterfestival. /jg

If you are in Yangon and if you have the chance, take it and go to the SEEDS. The best time to go there is the afternoon. Stay relaxed and enjoy the sunset at the lake. Come together with nice and interesting people from all over the world. Have a wonderful dinner and at the End: enjoy the bill!
