“Stiftunglife Foundation is like a candle. It consumes itself to light the way for others”! And I am the one of the luckiest student of the Stiftunglife Foundation who consumed its light. I want to show my deepest gratitude to all the persons whose part of the foundation. You gave me hope in achieving my goal in life, and that is to raise my family to the threat of poverty. I graduated my study as a Cum Laude in Clarendon College with the course of Bachelor in Secondary Education Major in Mathematics. I am so happy because finally, I finished my study and this is now the start of my new journey in life. I cannot achieve this blessings without the Stiftunglife Foundation. Thank you for supporting me in my financial needs, it really helps me on so many requirements, papers, contributions and other needs when it comes to school. Thank you Ma’am Leslie Macuja, for all the things that you have done to me, not just only in my financial needs but also in myself as well. You’re such a nice person Ma’am. You are willing to help so many poor individuals to continue their studies. Now, I know that there is so many expectations from me. I will work hard and continue to study for the incoming Licensure Examination for Teachers. I will pass the board exam in order to get a license in teaching. And with that, I can help my parents and raise the livelihood of our family. Once again, thank you so much Stiftunglife Foundation! Truly yours, JEHTRU M ROLE

Jethru Role - Lehramtstudent
My name is Jethru Role. I am the youngest among 4 brothers. We were born in the city but my family transferred to the province when the company where my parents were working closed. It was not easy for us to adjust to rural life. To earn a living, my father engaged in fishing because we live not very far from the sea. Most of the time my father comes home without any catch. My mother learned to make ginger powder which she sells around the village. She doesn’t earn much either. We get by because we live in my grandfather’s place where we plant some vegetables and raise some domesticated animals like chicken and pig. My older brothers lost interest in pursuing college education and married early. I see the poverty of my family and I resolved to break the cycle. I want to be a teacher. I studied very well to get good grades because I know that this is my instrument to find assistance to be able to go to college. I asked around for scholarships. I told myself that if I cannot study this school year in college I will find work to be able to save some money and continue to look for assistance. I am determined to have a profession. I learned about Stiftung from a classmate who met the Project Responsible Person in the Philippines. I will forever be grateful for this opportunity of chasing my dream.
